Dana Bertsch23 days agoJustin installed our vinyl flooring this past week and did a great job. He’s easy-going and that makes talking to him easy as well. He did our two bedrooms in one day and I must say I was impressed with how he was able to manage it in such a short amount of time. I like how he cleaned up after himself and was careful to make sure the baseboards were put back in the correct order. I would highly recommend Justin as an installer.Posted on Google

D Chow49 days agoExceptional Service I was very pleased with the experience from start to finish. The laminate flooring sales associate, Tesh, was knowledgeable and helpful, and was able to provide a same-day quote and cost everything within my budget, making the process simple and stress-free. I especially appreciated the electronically generated delivery notification, which kept me informed and made coordination seamless. The installation team was efficient, skilled, and professional, clearly taking pride in their work. One technician even asked how late he could continue working to complete as much as possible on the first day, showing real dedication to quality results. Overall, the service exceeded my expectations, and I’m very satisfied with both the customer service and installation team. I highly recommend Exclusive Floors!Posted on Google

Sharen Jo-Ann73 days agoI had a positive experience with Exclusive Floors in Coquitlam. Kian Cleary answered my initial flooring questions, was very kind, helpful and coordinated everything without any issues. I replaced a lot of flooring in the house so it was quite a big job. Justin Necula and his helper Ali spent a number of days removing dirty carpets, thousands of staples, old laminate, stubborn glue and also needed to level some areas of the floor. Once the messy part was complete, the vinyl planks went in quickly and totally transformed the rooms. It was a lot of work and they did a wonderful job. From the beginning I was concerned about how the curved staircase would turn out, along with a rounded/tightly curved area on the bottom step which couldn’t be covered by the new flooring. It all looked challenging to me. Justin took the time to carefully cut each plank to fit perfectly and used a few layers of a flexible material to finish the tight curve. Because of Justin’s attention to detail it turned out great! I’m really loving my new floors! It was exciting to see it all come together. I chose the Om Grey LVP by Cascade and it looks beautiful. Thank you!😊Posted on Google

Dirk Ottevangers228 days agoWe recently purchased new flooring from Vikram at Exclusive Floors in Surrey. We first worked with Vikram in 2023 and were very satisfied, so we didn’t hesitate to return. Three years later, he did not disappoint. His customer service and product knowledge are outstanding. This time, we had laminate installed in a small den and new carpet installed in the master bedroom. Mike handled the laminate installation, and Doug installed the carpet. Both were excellent. They were polite, professional, knowledgeable, and did great work. They also took care of the cleanup, which we appreciated. Vikram was proactive and even called us the morning of installation to confirm the installers were on their way. That level of follow-up speaks volumes. I would definitely recommend Vikram and his team at Exclusive Floors in Surrey.Posted on Google

YOUR VANCOUVER FLOORING QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Frequently Asked Questions About Flooring in Vancouver
There isn’t one flooring type that’s right for every condo, but luxury vinyl plank and engineered hardwood are popular choices. LVP offers excellent moisture resistance, durability and easy maintenance, while engineered hardwood provides the look and feel of real wood with greater stability than solid hardwood.
Before choosing a floor, it’s also important to check your strata’s requirements for sound ratings, underlayment and installation methods.
In many Vancouver condos, yes. Strata buildings can have specific requirements for flooring materials, underlayment and sound transmission ratings.
Before installation, check your strata bylaws and confirm what documentation or approval is required. Choosing the flooring first and discovering later that it doesn’t meet the building’s requirements can create unnecessary delays and costs.
For areas exposed to moisture, luxury vinyl flooring is one of the most practical choices. Quality waterproof vinyl can handle spills, wet shoes and everyday moisture while being easy to clean and maintain.
Tile is another excellent option for bathrooms, entryways and other areas where water is a regular concern.
Yes, hardwood can be an excellent choice for Vancouver homes, but the right product depends on the space. Engineered hardwood is often a better option than solid hardwood where moisture, concrete subfloors or temperature changes are concerns.
For condos, you should also make sure the flooring and underlayment meet your strata’s requirements before purchasing.
The cost depends on the flooring material, size of the project, installation method and whether the existing floor or subfloor needs preparation.
For example, removing old flooring, leveling an uneven subfloor, moving furniture or installing stairs can add to the overall cost. The best way to get an accurate number is to have the space measured and receive a detailed estimate based on the actual condition of the floor.
